Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 12/14/2015Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
A radiology group in southern New Hampshire is looking for a general radiologist to help Monday to Friday 9pm to 7am starting mid December for at least a couple months. This radiologist will be reading in-patient cases, cleaning up any exams left from end of day, and reading occasional ER cases. The interventional doctors are on call every night and they will handle almost all of the ER cases that come in. The number of reads vary night to night, but the total range is 40-45 per night.The PACS is McKesson.
Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
