Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 12/01/2015Available Shifts: 40 Hours/Week

A radiology group in the greater Denver area is looking for a fellowship trained pediatric radiologist who can fill in on an onoing basis starting around November 30th.
The position is Monday to Friday every week from 7am to 4pm. No weekend an no nightly call. The radiologist will be reading an average of 35-40 work RVU's a day consisting of plain film, cat scans, ultrasounds, and MR. These are very complicated cases from a children's facilitiy and pediatric cases from two additional hospital in the area. A lot of time is spend consulting with the referring physicians. There will also be procedures such as upper GI's, VCG's, and barrium enimas. The PACS is Centricity and the voice recognition is Powerscribe 360.

Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
