Job Description & Requirements
Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

A women's imaging center in Houston is looking for radiologist coverage from September 1 through October 31st. The week is Monday to Friday 7:30am to 5:30 pm, no call and no weekends. This is a busy practice reading 80-85 mammograms per day, 70 of which are screening and 10-15 are diagnostic. The radiologist will also perform between 1-4 stereotactic or US guided breast biopsies per day. MRI guided biopsies are a plus, but not required. The worksite uses Hologic PACS and Penrad for the voice dictation system. If there is downtime the radiologist will read plain film, cat scans, or ultrasounds out of the queue and that system is GE PACS and Powerscribe. This site strongly prefers a radiologist with a fellowship in women's imaging, but may consider candidates with very strong and outstanding women's imaging experience.

Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
