Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 08/17/2015Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

A solo site east of the Atlanta Metro area is in need of diagnostic coverage every third week ongoing as soon as possible. The hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, no call, and no weekends. The radiologist will do 50 over reads from the nighthawk service when they arrive in the morning. After that the course of the day will be reading 25 cat scans, 10 ultrasounds, 2-3 MR's, 6 mammograms, and 35 plain for a total of 75 studies per day. If the radiologist is not MQSA certified to read mammography it can be worked around.

Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
