Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
Hospital in central Tennessee is in need of diagnostic radiology coverage starting 7/6 for at least 90 days. This is a solo site Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, no call and no weekends. The radiologist will read an average of 96 studies per day consisting of 46 plain film, 22 cat scan, 11 ultrasound, 9 mammograms, 5 MR, 2 nuclear medicine, and 1 fluoro case. The site does about 1 procedure per day mainly US guided breast biopsy, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and needle localization. The radiologist must be MQSA and board certified. The PACS system is NovaRad and the voice recognition is Dragon.

The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
