Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

A group in eastern New York is in need of diagnostic radiologist coverage starting from the beginning of August through the end of 2015. The radiologist will read all modalities including mammography, DEXA, and PET. The position will start at an outpatient imaging center and will eventually move to a hospital that is connected to the outpatient imaging center. The work expectation is 13,000 RVU's per year. If the radiologist performs light procedures it would be an added bonus. Weekend and night call are negotiable depending on what the radiologist would like to do. The PACS and RIS is Cerner Millennium and the voice recognition is Powerscribe360.

Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
