Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 07/28/2015Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

Hospital in the Chicagoland area is looking for ongoing radiologist coverage. The start date is the week of July 20th, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, no call, and no weekends The radiologist will read an average of 100 studies per day consisting of plain film, cat scan, ultrasound, mammograms, MR, nuclear medicine, and 1 fluoro case. The radiologist will also perform 1-2 light procedures per day including US guided breast biopsy, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and needle localization. The radiologist must be MQSA and board certified.

Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
