Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 08/03/2015Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
A radiology group in central New York is in need of a general diagnostic radiologist with light interventional skills for a solo site. The radiologist will be reading all modalities and a volume of 110 - 130 studies per day and will also be performing light interventional procedures such as paracentesis, thoracentesis, biopsies, and drainages. There will be no nightly call or weekends. The PACS system is Fuji.
Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
