This hybrid practice of 38 subspecialized Radiologists is seeking additional Radiologists! This is both a private practice as well as having a Faculty Appointment. Both positions are full time academic positions. The Medical Center is a 700+ bed, Level 1 tertiary care academic health care center for Central New York. The department averages approximately 1,000 studies daily on an annual basis; across the board and includes Neuroradiology, IR and Nuclear Medicine beyond that of General Diagnostic. There are 24 residents that are of great assistance and they use nighthawk service as well as a number of independent contractor radiologists to help out with reads as necessary.
1.)Pediatric Radiologist Section Head with interest and experience in Pediatric Imaging. Section Head – expect 10,000 studies/year with 80% clinical and 20% administrative.
2.) Neuro Radiologist - a board-certified Neuro radiologist is needed to perform 100% Neuro! Call will be 1:7. This full-time academic position offers an opportunity to excel in teaching, research, publication, and patient care.
3.)IR - 100 % IR Interventional Radiologist – Total exams are greater than 12,000/year including vascular and non-vascular procedures. Call for IR is among 5 others. Volume for IR is 4,400 studies/year with 90% clinical and 10% administrative.
4.) Cardiothoracic imaging and strong academic interests, for a full-time faculty position. Candidates must be board certified in radiology, and have fellowship training or equivalent experience in cardiothoracic imaging. The ideal candidate with be competent to consult on all aspects of cardiac and thoracic radiology.
Compensation package for both positions varies depending on background and experience. In addition they offer superb benefit package include sick, vacation, CME time, paid holidays, medical benefits, pension plan and partnership.
The academic health center is a short drive from the Adirondack Mountains and Lake Ontario. The area offers scenic beauty, excellent schools, outdoor recreational activities, low housing costs and a high standard of living.
