Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

Practice in southern Illinois needs a general radiologist to read 100 studies per day. About 12 wks vacation per year.
Solo Environment Monday - Friday 8a - 5p,
including weekends
60 Plain film, 1-2 Fluoro, 20 CT, 15 US, 3-6 Nuc med,12 Mammo (digital & tomo), 4-6 MRI and light IR. (VRC covers prelims to cover during procedures)
98% General and 2% basic IR. Approximately 10 light IR procedures per week.
Avg weekend volume is 50 mixed studies.
BC required, MQSA certification is required and Tomo required.
Procedures: Needle locs; Needle Aspirations; Biopsies (breast, lung, thyroid, general); Drainages, Thora, Para; Arthrograms: Shoulder, knee, hip; Myelogram
PACS - Kodak CareStream
CT (2) - 64 Slice Brilliance Philips with Work Station
Quad MX 8000 Philips
MRI - 1.5 Tesla GE Signa with Breast Coil
Digital Mammography
ACLS and DEA required

Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
