Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 09/08/2015Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

A hospital in Northern California is in need of ongoing locums coverage for women's imaging. Client is open to splitting up weeks if needed, but would prefer one candidate to fill as many weeks as possible. Mammography ( MQSA certification is required) worksite averages 20-25 total studies per day in women's imaging but 70 total studies with other modalities. The radiologist will also read breast MRI, breast IR procedures scheduled as needed- Stereotactic biopsies, ultrasound guided biopsies, and needle locs. The schedule is Monday-Friday from 8 am - 5 pm ( 30 min lunch), Tele Rad picks up after 6. Candidates can also work weekends which consist of a full day's work onsite from 7 am-5 pm, no call requirement. Candidates must be Board Certified for credentials. PACS is McKesson and Voice Recognition is Powerscribe. The client will cover all travel and lodging expenses.

Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
