Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
A hospital in central Illinois is looking for a diagnostic radiologist who can read all modalities including mammography. Must be MQSA certified and has completed training in tomo. The average daily volume is around 80-90 studies per day and it would be a huge benefit if the radiologist can perform biopsies and drainages. This position is a team environment which starts 6/1 and will continue ongoing for a period of 3 to 4 months. The PACS is Spectra and the dictation system is Powerscribe.
Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
