Job Description & Requirements
Interventional Radiologist - Physician - (Radiology - VIR - Inter Rad) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

Basic Interventional Radiology coverage needed in New Mexico. No call and no weekends. Procedures include biopsy drainage, central line, and dialysis catheters. There will also be occasional biliary, kidney drainage, dialysis catheter, and angiography. If the radiologist could also do 20-40 reads a day in addition to procedures it would be helpful. Mainly plain film, cat scan, and ultrasound (very few MR). The radiologist must be board certified, but does not need to have an interventional fellowship. Diagnostic days: typically at least 75 cases (25 CT, 18 US, 1 MR, 5 GI, 27 PF). Mondays are much busier due to over flow from Sunday, about 130 cases (27 CT, 20 US, 3 GI, 45 PF, 40 over reads). M-W is diagnostic, and Thurs - Fri IR.

An interventional radiologist(locum tenens) is a physician who utilizes minimally invasive, image-guided procedures and techniques to diagnose and treat patients for various conditions.
