Summary of Job Duties
Duties include providing minimally invasive procedures using image guidance. Scope of services include but are not limited to Arteriovenous Malformations, Angiography, Balloon Angioplasty, Biliary Drainage and Stenting, Central Venous Access, Embolization and ChemoEmbolization, Hemodialysis, Access Maintenance, Gastrostomy tubes, Renal Biopsy, Stenting and Stent-Grafting, Radiofrequency Ablations, TIPS, Vena Cafa Filter, MR Angiography, Biopsies and Abscess Drainage. Provide medical reports for all patients for whom he/she provides care at the VAMC. Total procedures in FY13 was 1984 procedures.
Licensure/Certification
Physician must be licensed in a state, territory or commonwealth or District of Columbia. Must be BC by the American Board of Radiology. License must be active and unrestricted. Must have current ACLS certification and current CAQ (Certificate of Added Qualifications) status in Interventional Radiology. Must be fellowship-trained in Interventional Radiology.
Dates
This contract will start 10/1/14 for 120 working days with an option of an additional 120 working days. Shift is 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday, 320 hours of on-call.
