Interventional Radiologist - Physician - (Radiology - VIR - Inter Rad) Locum Tenens
A radiologist group in Anchorage, Alaska is looking for vacation coverage through 2017. The interventional radiologist would like to take 8 to 16 weeks a year throughout the year. He is open to providers that do not currently have an AK license. He needs an Interventional Radiologist that is OK doing 20% IR and 80% diagnostic. The IR procedures run the entire gamut except there is no Neuro IR, oncology, or vascular procedures. The radiologist will need to be able to perform all Mammo procedures, biopsies, drainages, ports, thrombolytic, stents, angioplasty, embolisms, bleeders, Gastrostomy tubes. This is all inpatient acute care and tertiary setting. When the radiologist is not performing procedures they will be doing Diagnostic reads approximately 40-80 a day. They read all modalities but Mammography is not required. The group uses McKesson PACS and Powerscribe for the voice recognition.
