Interventional Radiologist - Physician - (Radiology - VIR - Inter Rad) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 24 Hour/Day
A trauma center in central coastal California is looking for interventional radiologists to do weekend call / diagnostic half days on-site at 1-2 weekends per month starting January 2016 forward. The position consists of being on interventional call for the weekend (the exact start and send time has some flexibility). The radiologist will go onsite to the hospital from noon to 5pm on both Saturday and Sunday to read diagnostic studies and perform procedures. The procedure volume is 2-3 procedures a weekend done primarily during the afternoon on site hours. The most common procedures would be paracentesis, thoracentesis, embolizations, pelvic bleed, abscess drainages, stents, and central lines. The diagnostic studies primarily consist of cat scan, plain film, ultrasound, and MR 20-40 per day from the emergency room. This is a solo site, but there will be another radiologist at a sister hospital who can help if needed. The PACS is McKesson and voice recognition is Powerscribe.
