Private practice of 21 seeks a fellowship trained IR. The practice consists of 15 partners, 3 part-timers, 1 RA, 1 NP. They cover the radiology services at 2 hospitals (380 and 220 beds), a hospital owned imaging center and have their own office where they read MRI’s for an Orthopedic clinic, CTs for a Urology Clinic and an Oncology Clinic, and plain films and US for a variety of primary care practices. The new hire will cover 4 sites. This is a replacement position as one of their IR’s retired. The volume per rad is 20-25k. Expect to do 50% IR and balance in general. They have 24 hour coverage. Week night call is 1:3 for IR and 1:4 weekends (you are paid an extra $2,200 for IR call. There are night shifts available (not mandatory) if you want and are paid additional $$! Starting salary is 350k, 53k contributed into retirement, full benefits. Partnership after 1st year. Located an hour and a half from Houston.
