Pulmonologist-Critical Care - Physician - (Pulmonology - CCU) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

Facility in South Carolina seeks a Pulmonary Critical Care physician for inpatient rounding July 29-August 2, 2013. The schedule is M-F 8am-5pm. Client has telephonic call coverage for evening call. Procedures included bronchoscopy, intubation, pulmonary catheters, thoracentesis, etc. Average daily census is 10-12 patients per day. A pulmonary disease physician, also known as a pulmonologist, (locum tenens) focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of lung diseases. In a critical care setting, these physicians work to stabilize and treat acute lung illnesses and injuries. A pulmonologist performs a wide variety of tests to assess and diagnose the nature of lung-related health problems, conducting physical examinations and utilizing imaging technology to make their diagnoses. In a critical care case where immediate surgery may be necessary, pulmonologists work alongside surgeons to expeditiously treat patients.

Required Qualifications
* South Carolina Licensed
* Board Certified in Critical Care
