Pulmonary /Critical Care Medicine Opportunity

Employed opportunity for a Board Eligible/Board Certified Pulmonary /Critical Care/Sleep. This well-established practice includes a busy clinic as well as an in-patient based practice. There is a built-in referral system made up of all specialties with the exception of Neurosurgery. We have a medical staff of over 90 physicians, which are on-site at our main medical campus, as well as 5 satellite facilities, which promotes our large volume. Our service area reaches 6 counties with a service population of 200,000.

This Pulmonary/Critical Care opportunity offers a shared call and our tertiary care hospital has a Hospitalist team. The physician joining this practice will be based out of Madisonville, with the clinical practice located across from the hospital and the in-patient practice at Baptist Health Madisonville, our 410-bed JCAHO accredited hospital.

This is a tremendous opportunity to practice sophisticated medicine in a collegial environment.

This is an employed position with a market-competitive compensation and benefits package, generous CME annual allowance, paid malpractice with tail coverage as well as relocation assistance. The practice also includes excellent nursing support staff with experience, a 34-bed telemetry unit, a 20-bed ICU/CCU (open unit) and a special cardiac surgical suite as well as a $1.2 million renovation of medical/surgical units at our hospital.

In 2007, we were named as one of Thomson Top Hospitals in Cardiovascular and for 2009, one of the Nation's 100 Top Hospitals by Thomson Reuters, for a teaching hospital under 500 beds. We were proud to have been recognized with this honor.

Teaching opportunities are available with our Family Medicine residency program, as well as our Off-Campus Teaching Center, affiliated with the University of Louisville School of Medicine. We also have a CRNA school on our medical campus, which was the first in Kentucky. Research and clinical trials also available through our Education Division.
