Psychologist - (Psychology) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
Correctional facility is looking for a full time psychologist for contract coverage. Provider has the ability to work a flexible schedule starting as early as 7am and ending as late as 7pm. Candidates will be responsible for evaluation of new patients, and ongoing psychological treatment within the correctional treatment team. Psychologist will have a full support staff for assistance, as well as physicians and psychiatric nurse practitioners. Please contact Staff Care for more information on this opportunity.
Generally speaking, a psychologist(locum tenens) focuses on the study of behavior, conducting laboratory experiments, recording and analyzing case histories, and working to explain the reactions of people to objects, people and environments. These scientists often use their insights to help patients adjust to the issues that they perceive as threatening, frightening or anxiety-producing in life. Psychology is a field that is rife with room for specialization, such is the case with fields like experimental and developmental psychology.
Required Qualifications
Candidate must have an active Arizona license.
Preferred Qualifications
Correctional experience is a plus.
