Psychiatrist - (Psych) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 02/23/2015Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
Outpatient full time adult Psychiatrist is needed in central Ohio for an immediate and ongoing opportunity. Clinic hours are Monday - Friday 8 am-5 pm, no weekends and no call. The physician will see adult and adolescent patients; perform evaluations, consults and medication management. Call Staff Care today if you would like to hear more about this opportunity.
A psychiatrist (locum tenens) is a mental health professional, who focuses on preventing, diagnosing, and treating mental illness. After completing medical school, a psychiatrist must also complete a one year internship and three additional years of specialized training as a psychiatric resident. In the treatment of mental illness, a psychiatrist is licensed to prescribe medication. Some conditions requiring medication include; depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. A psychiatrist evaluates patients with mental illness and, in cases where medication is subscribed, often practices medication management.
