Psychiatrist - (Psych) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
Outpatient child clinic in central North Carolina needs full time locums coverage. The client is open to Psychiatrist to be board certified or board eligible. Start as soon as possible, candidates need to have an active North Carolina license and billing number. The provider will see approximately 14-18 patients per day and be responsible for med checks allotted approximately 30 minutes per patient and evaluations are allotted approximately 1 hour with patient. Possibility to perform telemedicine services to treat patients of all ages, including children. Call for more details.
A psychiatrist (locum tenens) is a mental health professional, who focuses on preventing, diagnosing, and treating mental illness. After completing medical school, a psychiatrist must also complete a one year internship and three additional years of specialized training as a psychiatric resident. In the treatment of mental illness, a psychiatrist is licensed to prescribe medication. Some conditions requiring medication include; depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. A psychiatrist evaluates patients with mental illness and, in cases where medication is subscribed, often practices medication management.
Required Qualifications
Psychiatrist open to board certified or board eligible candidates
Active North Carolina license
Experience working with children from age 5 to 14 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
Experienced seeing children of all ages consulting, med checks and evaluations
