Psychiatrist - (Psych) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: Part Time
A part time Psychiatrist is needed in Maryland for an opportunity at an outpatient community health clinic. The schedule is flexible for three days per week, with no call. The provider will see all adults, and duties include med checks, patient evaluations, and some consults. Please call Staff Care today for more details.
A psychiatrist (locum tenens) is a mental health professional, who focuses on preventing, diagnosing, and treating mental illness. After completing medical school, a psychiatrist must also complete a one year internship and three additional years of specialized training as a psychiatric resident. In the treatment of mental illness, a psychiatrist is licensed to prescribe medication. Some conditions requiring medication include; depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. A psychiatrist evaluates patients with mental illness and, in cases where medication is subscribed, often practices medication management.

Active Maryland License
Preferred Qualifications
Comfortable working within a team to create comprehensive treatment plans.
Experience working with a community health clinic a plus.
