We have 3 full-time Psychiatry locums openings with the Georgia Dept. of BHDD. The available roles include:
- Adult Inpatient Mental Health Unit
- Forensic Psychiatry Unit
- Overnight Admissions Unit
Below are details about the Adult Mental Health Unit:
Psychiatrist will provide care for up to 14 patients on one of our 3 AMH units working Monday-Friday 8am until 4:30pm. Be a leader of a multidisciplinary treatment team (consisting of psychology, social work, nursing, activity therapy, team facilitator, and other ancillary staff). Those with forensic experience can be involved in competency evaluations and court correspondences if they desire, otherwise they will be providing standard inpatient psychiatric treatment. We utilize an EMR, where most physician documents can be found, but still have a hybrid chart.
