Opportunity:
As the incoming Psychiatrist, you'll work in the role of Medical Director with duties that include new admission, daily patient care of Adult and/or Child and Adolescent patients in assigned caseload and some administrative duties. This position is 80% clinical and 20% administrative. The work environment is collegial and physicians have many support services to assist them in their care for patients. The Medical Director holds a critical leadership position working closely with Administration, Medical Staff, and all other clinical and administrative support staff.
Position duties include administrative clinical management and direct clinical care of patients in hospital based services of inpatient and partial programs. The Medical Director will work closely with staff on quality improvement initiatives, utilization management and risk management, providing clinical administrative supervision to other physicians and clinical staff. Program development and liaison activities with community referral sources and managed care companies are also activities the medical Director is involved in. The direct clinical care duties include initial evaluations and assessments, treatment team leadership and management of a limited patient caseload.
Experience with or interest in Substance abuse is a plus.
Compensation:
This Monday-Friday inpatient position can be either fulltime employed or Independent contractor status. You'll also benefit from living in Reno!
