Psychiatrist - (Psych) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
Outpatient Vermont Clinic needs part time Psychiatrist for medical leave coverage. Provider will see all ages of patients, youngest patient 12 years old. Will see all types of cases, will perform histories and physicals, evaluations, medical checks and consultations. Clinic open to board eligible or board certified candidates. Provider will be working with full support staff including mid-level and psychologist. Please call Staff Care for additional details.
A psychiatrist (locum tenens) is a mental health professional, who focuses on preventing, diagnosing, and treating mental illness. After completing medical school, a psychiatrist must also complete a one year internship and three additional years of specialized training as a psychiatric resident. In the treatment of mental illness, a psychiatrist is licensed to prescribe medication. Some conditions requiring medication include; depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. A psychiatrist evaluates patients with mental illness and, in cases where medication is subscribed, often practices medication management.
Required Qualifications
Clean active Vermont license and background. Experience treating all ages and cases of patients.
Preferred Qualifications
Clinic will consider board eligible or board certified candidates.
