Psychiatrist - (Psych) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
A Full Time Adult Psychiatrist is needed in Maryland for an immediate and ongoing opportunity. The Schedule Monday - Friday. The physician will see adult patients to perform evaluations, consults and medication management. Call Staff Care today if you would like to hear more about this opportunity.
A psychiatrist (locum tenens) is a mental health professional, who focuses on preventing, diagnosing, and treating mental illness. After completing medical school, a psychiatrist must also complete a one year internship and three additional years of specialized training as a psychiatric resident. In the treatment of mental illness, a psychiatrist is licensed to prescribe medication. Some conditions requiring medication include; depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. A psychiatrist evaluates patients with mental illness and, in cases where medication is subscribed, often practices medication management.
Required Qualifications
Active Maryland license
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in an outpatient setting
Comfortable working with a team to provide care
