Cedar Ridge Hospital in Oklahoma City is recruiting a new Staff Child or General Psychiatrist for Inpatient services. An option for a mix of Outpatient and Inpatient duties is also available. Cedar Ridge Hospital is expanding into a new building with another 81 beds to provide treatment for Children, Adolescents, Adults and Geriatric patients. Our services include inpatient, outpatient and residential treatment programs for general and specialty psychiatric treatment issues. All programs are staffed by highly trained and dedicated multidisciplinary treatment teams.



The Staff Psychiatrist responsibilities will include, for Inpatient work, initial evaluations and assessments, treatment team leadership and daily care of patients. For Outpatient work initial evaluations and follow-up medication management and brief psychotherapy with patients. This is a fulltime employed position. An independent contractor model is also available.



The patient care and work environment at Cedar Ridge is collegial and there is great support in all clinical and administrative operations of the hospital system. A very competitive compensation package including salary and benefits will be offered. Ideal Candidates will be Board Eligible/Board Certified in either General or Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.




.EOE..Community, Facility and Organization. Cedar Ridge provides inpatient and extended residential treatment for children and adolescents between the ages of 6 and 18. Residents are placed on specific units based on age, gender, and diagnosis. The treatment program provides a structured milieu, which fosters a supportive environment that promotes self-acceptance, increased self esteem, and improved social skills for each resident.

Residential Treatment Programs :

•- ages 6 to 11 male and female. This program is designed to address the specific needs of younger children with emotional and behavioral disorders.


•- ages 12 to 18 male and female on separate units. This program is designed to address the specific needs of adolescents with general psychiatric disorders, such as Depression, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and Oppositional Defiant Disorder. Cedar Ridge also has a specialty treatment track for those children or adolescents with substance abuse or addiction-related issues.

Inpatient Treatment Programs :

•Adolescent - ages 13 to 17 male and females.

•Adult: ages 18 to 65 male and female.
