Psychiatrist - (Psych) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
Inpatient full time adult Psychiatrist is needed North Carolina starting April through May. Hours are Monday - Friday 8 am-5 pm and night call coverage. The physician will see adult patients; perform evaluations, consults and medication management. The Psychiatrist will be using Meditech 6.0 electronic medical records. A psychiatrist (locum tenens) is a mental health professional, who focuses on preventing, diagnosing, and treating mental illness. After completing medical school, a psychiatrist must also complete a one year internship and three additional years of specialized training as a psychiatric resident. In the treatment of mental illness, a psychiatrist is licensed to prescribe medication. Some conditions requiring medication include; depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. A psychiatrist evaluates patients with mental illness and, in cases where medication is subscribed, often practices medication management.
Required Qualifications
Will be using electronic medical records.
Preferred Qualifications
Open to board eligible and certified candidates.
