Job Duties
The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction is looking for a dedicated
Mental Health Professional to assume the responsibilities of Physician Administrator 2.
Annual salary is for full-time candidates, but we will consider part-time.


Job duties include but are not limited to:

Provides direct psychiatric care to offenders; refers offenders for psychiatric hospitalization as needed; writes mental health evaluations and reports for offenders in need of and/or receiving psychiatric level of care; prescribes medication as needed; Interprets and analyzes laboratory reports and findings; writes summary and maintain written account of patient progress; acts as the lead of treatment team meetings and is instrumental in the development of treatment plans for offenders on the mental health caseload; follows all ODRC policies and procedures regarding psychiatry and psychiatric care to include involuntary medication evaluation and chairing involuntary medication hearings and collaborates with Advanced Practice Nurse psychiatric/MH and Clinical Nurse Specialist; directs delivery of psychiatric/mental health care services to inmates; provides for psychiatric consultation to all programs In mental health.

Provides clinical supervision, training and work direction to Advanced Practice Nurse psychiatric/MH; provides work direction and reviews work and provides feedback; establishes goals and monitors and evaluates performance.

Participates as a member of administrative staff in development of overall goals, objectives, standards, policies, and guidelines for assigned mental health programs; participates in QI and SPART activities.

Minimum Qualifications: Certificate to Practice medicine in state of Ohio as issued by State Medical Board
