Psychiatrist - (Psych) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
This is a Psychiatry need in gorgeous Savannah The site will accept either a Board Certified or Eligible provider Must have a current BLS and DEA The hours worked will be 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Mon-Fri There will be pager call required(1:4) and then some minimal call back may be required as well. Patients per day will be 8-1 per day.
A psychiatrist (locum tenens) is a mental health professional, who focuses on preventing, diagnosing, and treating mental illness. After completing medical school, a psychiatrist must also complete a one year internship and three additional years of specialized training as a psychiatric resident. In the treatment of mental illness, a psychiatrist is licensed to prescribe medication. Some conditions requiring medication include; depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. A psychiatrist evaluates patients with mental illness and, in cases where medication is subscribed, often practices medication management.
