ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY:
Job Title: LOCUM - Psychiatrist - Adult Inpatient/Outpatient
Unit: Adult Inpatient and Outpatient
Assignment Duration: 4-1-14 through 7-1-14
Number of positions available: 1
Shift: M-F Full Time
State License: IL
On Call requirements: Once every 5th week (5th weekend, but the rest of the week is spread out)
Weekend requirements:
Certification requirements: BLS/CPR,BC or BE
Unit Description: Facility will consider J1 and H1-B providers. Looking for maternity leave coverage April through July 2014. This is a hospital need with inpatient and outpatient mental health units. Group staff includes 4 staff psychiatrists with 1 independent practitioner, Outpatient Mental Health Therapists on staff. The Adult Inpatient Unit is newly renovated and has a new Partial Hospitalization and Outpatient Building.
40% inpatient, 60% outpatient.
22 inpatient beds.
80% adult, 20% adolescent and geriatric.
Average census is 15 inpatients per day, and 80-100 outpatients per day.
1 hour allowed for evals.
20-30 minutes for med checks.
No set hours - typically 8am to when done.
Epic EMR for both In and Outpatient records. Privilege application takes approximately 4 - 6 weeks. Emergency privileges possible in 2 - 4 weeks. Facility prefers one locum to cover entire period.
Experience required with: Acute psychiatric unit / institute, involuntary commitments, seclusion therapy, restraint application, anxiety disorders, affective disorders, ADD/ADHD, personality disorders, developmental disorders, psychotic disorders, organic disorders, pharmacotherapy, family therapy.
Experience preferred with: Office/clinic outpatients, eating disorders.
