Psychiatrist - (Psych) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
Want to get away from the cold weather, and enjoy the beautiful dessert views? This state of the art behavioral health hospital is looking for a temporary psychiatrist to start as soon as possible for ongoing coverage. They mental health physician will be working with a team of psychiatrist, nurse, case workers, and other trained support staff in an emergency behavioral health setting. The psychiatrist will be able to choose from three 8 hour shifts, and the ability to work weekend in the psychiatric emergency room. Client is open to candidate looking for shift work or the ability to work 40 hours per week. For more details please call Staff Care.
A psychiatrist (locum tenens) is a mental health professional, who focuses on preventing, diagnosing, and treating mental illness. After completing medical school, a psychiatrist must also complete a one year internship and three additional years of specialized training as a psychiatric resident. In the treatment of mental illness, a psychiatrist is licensed to prescribe medication. Some conditions requiring medication include; depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. A psychiatrist evaluates patients with mental illness and, in cases where medication is subscribed, often practices medication management.
Required Qualifications
All candidates must be licensed in the state of Arizona, and will work with electronic medical records.
