Psychiatrist - (Psych) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
Psychiatrist needed for ACTT team in North Carolina to start as soon as possible. Provider must have active North Carolina license and Medicaid number for billing. Will be providing ACTT services to adult and geriatric patients. Med management and consults will be the main treatment responsibilities when traveling to patient homes. There will be a full support staff available for provider. Must be experienced with adult and geriatric patients. Coverage needed day a week, office hours Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. A psychiatrist (locum tenens) is a mental health professional, who focuses on preventing, diagnosing, and treating mental illness. After completing medical school, a psychiatrist must also complete a one year internship and three additional years of specialized training as a psychiatric resident. In the treatment of mental illness, a psychiatrist is licensed to prescribe medication. Some conditions requiring medication include; depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. A psychiatrist evaluates patients with mental illness and, in cases where medication is subscribed, often practices medication management.
Required Qualifications
Must have active NC license.
Preferred Qualifications
Comfortable with ACTT services.
