Psychiatrist - (Psych) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
A Psychiatrist is needed in Southern Texas area treating adult inpatients. The schedule is Monday-Friday 8a-5p, no weekends and no call. The physician will be treating all types of cases; perform evaluations, consults and medication management. Call Staff Care today if you would like to hear more about this opportunity.
A psychiatrist (locum tenens) is a mental health professional, who focuses on preventing, diagnosing, and treating mental illness. After completing medical school, a psychiatrist must also complete a one year internship and three additional years of specialized training as a psychiatric resident. In the treatment of mental illness, a psychiatrist is licensed to prescribe medication. Some conditions requiring medication include; depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. A psychiatrist evaluates patients with mental illness and, in cases where medication is subscribed, often practices medication management.
Required Qualifications
Texas licensed Psychiatrist with clean background.
Preferred Qualifications
The Psychiatrist needs to be experienced seeing adult patients with variety of diagnosis.
