Psychiatrist - (Psych) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: Part Time
Bilingual (Spanish) local psychiatrist needed for part time hours in NYC. Immediate start for ongoing coverage. Physician outpatient duties include medication management and follow up visits for child patient base. May need to float between several different outpatient clinics in the city. Great rates! A psychiatrist (locum tenens) is a mental health professional, who focuses on preventing, diagnosing, and treating mental illness. After completing medical school, a psychiatrist must also complete a one year internship and three additional years of specialized training as a psychiatric resident. In the treatment of mental illness, a psychiatrist is licensed to prescribe medication. Some conditions requiring medication include; depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. A psychiatrist evaluates patients with mental illness and, in cases where medication is subscribed, often practices medication management.
