Nationwide Locum Tenens currently is seeking a Psychiatrist interested in a Full Time Permanent Position with the University of Georgia. This is an immediate need. Full Time 12 Month Benefited Position
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: diagnostic assessment, triage, medication monitoring, crisis intervention, consultation, and limited outreach, supervision, and after-hours on-call service.
Must be licensed in the State of Georgia (Willing to wait for someone to get licensed)
Minimum requirements include MD degree and completion of an accredited psychiatric residency, one year of experience providing services to individuals psychologically similar to the college population and three years of experience with brief assessment, crisis intervention, medication evaluation, and medication monitoring.
Additional preferred qualifications include experience with: disorders of attention, substance use and abuse, or eating disorders; working in a multidisciplinary team environment; working in a multicultural setting with a diverse student population; working with a college or university population, including consultation in an ambulatory care facility; documenting in an electronic health record; the provision of clinical supervision to post-graduate professionals; and familiarity with Joint Commission accreditation requirements and standards for site visit review.
