Psychiatrist - (Psych) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
Beautiful, psychiatric hospital in the greater Salt Lake City area is looking for an adult psychiatrist. This facility is looking for a full time mental health physician, licensed in the state of Utah, and available to start as soon as possible. The physician will be working on a small in patient unit, 40 hours per week, with a shared Call rotation of working one weekend per month. Client is interested in a psychiatrist that will make a commitment to the facility on an ongoing basis. Credentialing can be completed in as little as a week. A psychiatrist (locum tenens) is a mental health professional, who focuses on preventing, diagnosing, and treating mental illness. After completing medical school, a psychiatrist must also complete a one year internship and three additional years of specialized training as a psychiatric resident. In the treatment of mental illness, a psychiatrist is licensed to prescribe medication. Some conditions requiring medication include; depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. A psychiatrist evaluates patients with mental illness and, in cases where medication is subscribed, often practices medication management.
Required Qualifications
All potential candidates must have a medical license in the state of Utah.
