Psychiatrist - (Psych) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
Inpatient psychiatrist needed for immediate placement for ongoing locums coverage. Physician duties include rounding , medication management, evaluations and follow ups with patients of all ages. Youngest age seen is 12 years old. Board eligible candidates considered. Great rates with travel and lodging provided! Call Staff Care today for more information!
A psychiatrist (locum tenens) is a mental health professional, who focuses on preventing, diagnosing, and treating mental illness. After completing medical school, a psychiatrist must also complete a one year internship and three additional years of specialized training as a psychiatric resident. In the treatment of mental illness, a psychiatrist is licensed to prescribe medication. Some conditions requiring medication include; depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. A psychiatrist evaluates patients with mental illness and, in cases where medication is subscribed, often practices medication management.
