Psychiatrist - (Psych) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: Part Time
A Psychiatrist is needed in Lexington, MA for an immediate and ongoing opportunity. The schedule is 10 hours per week, flexible on days. No weekend or call coverage is needed. The physician will adults in the PACT program and mainly provide medication management in an outpatient setting. Call Staff Care today if you would like to hear more about this opportunity.
A psychiatrist (locum tenens) is a mental health professional, who focuses on preventing, diagnosing, and treating mental illness. After completing medical school, a psychiatrist must also complete a one year internship and three additional years of specialized training as a psychiatric resident. In the treatment of mental illness, a psychiatrist is licensed to prescribe medication. Some conditions requiring medication include; depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. A psychiatrist evaluates patients with mental illness and, in cases where medication is subscribed, often practices medication management.
Required Qualifications
A Massachusetts State License is required. Board Certified candidates are needed.
