Psychiatrist - (Psych) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
A Psychiatrist is needed in Milford, Connecticut for an immediate and ongoing opportunity. The schedule is 15 hours per week, flexible on days. Adult patients are seen in the outpatient facility. The physician will provide med checks and evaluations to patients that are 18 years and older. Provider will be required to have an active Connecticut license, NPI, CSR, DEA and 2 professional references. Please call Staff Care today for further details.
A psychiatrist (locum tenens) is a mental health professional, who focuses on preventing, diagnosing, and treating mental illness. After completing medical school, a psychiatrist must also complete a one year internship and three additional years of specialized training as a psychiatric resident. In the treatment of mental illness, a psychiatrist is licensed to prescribe medication. Some conditions requiring medication include; depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. A psychiatrist evaluates patients with mental illness and, in cases where medication is subscribed, often practices medication management.
Required Qualifications
Provider must have the following active licenses, Connecticut state license, NPI, CSR, DEA and 2 professional references.
Client will perform an OIGWPLS background check.
Preferred Qualifications
Client is open to Board Eligible and Board Certified candidates.
At least one year past residency
Prefer local candidates with mileage reimbursement
