StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: Rotating Shift
Outpatient psychiatrist needed for summer vacation coverage. Physician duties include med-management, evaluations and follow-up visits. Local providers to Ridgewood, NJ, please. Dates needed are August 5, 9 and 12. Call Staff Care today for more information!
A psychiatrist (locum tenens) is a mental health professional, who focuses on preventing, diagnosing, and treating mental illness. After completing medical school, a psychiatrist must also complete a one year internship and three additional years of specialized training as a psychiatric resident. In the treatment of mental illness, a psychiatrist is licensed to prescribe medication. Some conditions requiring medication include; depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. A psychiatrist evaluates patients with mental illness and, in cases where medication is subscribed, often practices medication management.
