Psychiatrist - (Psych) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

A Psychiatrist is needed for an inpatient facility in Philadelphia, PA. The job starts in May for 3 months. It is full-time position, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. Client is open to board eligible or board certified candidates and no call is required. Call Staff Care today for more details!

A psychiatrist (locum tenens) is a mental health professional, who focuses on preventing, diagnosing, and treating mental illness. After completing medical school, a psychiatrist must also complete a one year internship and three additional years of specialized training as a psychiatric resident. In the treatment of mental illness, a psychiatrist is licensed to prescribe medication. Some conditions requiring medication include; depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. A psychiatrist evaluates patients with mental illness and, in cases where medication is subscribed, often practices medication management.

Required Qualifications
An active Pennsylvania State License is required
