Psychiatrist - (Psych) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
Outpatient part time adult Psychiatrist is needed in North Carolina office ongoing opportunity. The schedule is for 3 days a week, office hours are Monday - Friday 8 am-5 pm, no weekends and no call. The physician will see adult patients; perform evaluations, consults and medication management with another staff team member. A psychiatrist (locum tenens) is a mental health professional, who focuses on preventing, diagnosing, and treating mental illness. After completing medical school, a psychiatrist must also complete a one year internship and three additional years of specialized training as a psychiatric resident. In the treatment of mental illness, a psychiatrist is licensed to prescribe medication. Some conditions requiring medication include; depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. A psychiatrist evaluates patients with mental illness and, in cases where medication is subscribed, often practices medication management.
Required Qualifications
Active North Carolina state license.
Experienced in treating patients of all cases.
Preferred Qualifications
Open to board certified or board eligible candidates.
