Psychiatrist - (Psych) Locum Tenens
Psychiatrist is needed in Washington to cover a Call schedule. Provider will start immediatly. Schedule is four nights per week, and three weekends per month. Physician will see adult patients to provide prescription checks, consultations, and patient evaluations. Call Staff Care today to learn more about this opportunity

A psychiatrist (locum tenens) is a mental health professional, who focuses on preventing, diagnosing, and treating mental illness. After completing medical school, a psychiatrist must also complete a one year internship and three additional years of specialized training as a psychiatric resident. In the treatment of mental illness, a psychiatrist is licensed to prescribe medication. Some conditions requiring medication include; depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. A psychiatrist evaluates patients with mental illness and, in cases where medication is subscribed, often practices medication management.
