Psychiatrist - (Psych) Locum Tenens
Inpatient Psychiatrist is needed for adult locums treatment. Monday through Friday schedule, no nights or weekend call. Hospital prefers candidate with electronic medical records experience. Will be treating male and female patients with all types of cases. Call Staff Care for more details.
A psychiatrist (locum tenens) is a mental health professional, who focuses on preventing, diagnosing, and treating mental illness. After completing medical school, a psychiatrist must also complete a one year internship and three additional years of specialized training as a psychiatric resident. In the treatment of mental illness, a psychiatrist is licensed to prescribe medication. Some conditions requiring medication include; depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. A psychiatrist evaluates patients with mental illness and, in cases where medication is subscribed, often practices medication management.
Required Qualifications
Active and clean North Carolina state license.Comfortable with electronic medical records.
Preferred Qualifications
Experienced treating adult patients with all types of cases.
