The Adult Staff Psychiatrist scope of practice includes evaluation, diagnosis, medication assessments and adjustment, patient education, treatment planning, and development of individual ongoing care plans for all patients. All treatment must be in accordance with agency and clinical policies, and must keep all patient information strictly confidential.
The Psychiatrist, must exhibit a high degree of engagement and empathy as well as embodying the highest ethical standard; and also display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to interact well with an interdisciplinary care team.
The successful candidate will:
*Provide professional clinical services to individual clients, groups of clients, and/or families
*Maintain client confidentiality at all times and ensures to follow agency, state and HIPPA laws
*Ensure required documentation is complete, timely and accurate at all times; as required by agency standards and licensing requirements
*Provide psychiatric assessment, evaluation, psychopharmacological follow-up, and monitoring of client?s treatment in collaboration with CHS-Behavioral Health Clinical Team
*Provide short-and long-term psychotherapy and the concurrent use of medications
Provide treatment according to APA Practice Guidelines, as well as accepted agency standards and protocols
*Provide MAT for Opioid substitution and/or antagonist Therapy for patients with substance use disorders.
*Provide individual professional consultation among Professional Staff for the purposes of in servicing/education as necessary to provide increased level of service to patients.
*Demonstrated cultural competency in their ability to serve diverse client population
Required experience:
*Adult Staff Psychiatrist: 3 years
Required license or certification:
*Board Eligible or Board Certified
Required education:
*Doctorate
Required language:
*Spanish Proficiency a plus
