Child Psychiatrist - (Psychiatry -Child) Locum Tenens

A child/adolescent psychiatrist or an adult psychiatrist that is comfortable seeing children ages 6-17 years of age is needed 90 miles from Minneapolis for an immediate and ongoing opportunity. The schedule is Monday - Friday 8-4:30 with the possibility of some weeknight call coverage. The physician will be in an inpatient setting performing evaluations, consults, and medication management. Child psychiatry (locum tenens) involves the diagnosis and treatment of feeling, thinking, and behavioral disorders affecting children, adolescents, and their families. Diagnostic assessments give attention to the physical, emotional, educational, cognitive, genetic, developmental, family, peer, and social aspects. An unified approach in child psychiatry, to effectively treat patients, may involve individual, group, or family psychotherapy, medication, and consultation with other physicians or professionals from schools, juvenile courts, social agencies, or other community organizations.

Required Qualifications

Licensed in the State of MN. Board Certified preferred but will consider Board Eligible candidates as well.
