Psychiatrist - (Psych) Locum Tenens
Beautiful community mental health center is looking for psychiatry coverage 30 minutes from Pittsburg, PA. This psychiatrist will be working with a variety of patients within their adult population. The clinic has a full support staff, therapists, nurses, and other physicians. They are looking for someone available as soon as possible, and client is open to full time or part time candidates. The psychiatrist will have an 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday work schedule. They will not be working on nights or weekends. For more information please contact Staff Care.
A psychiatrist (locum tenens) is a mental health professional, who focuses on preventing, diagnosing, and treating mental illness. After completing medical school, a psychiatrist must also complete a one year internship and three additional years of specialized training as a psychiatric resident. In the treatment of mental illness, a psychiatrist is licensed to prescribe medication. Some conditions requiring medication include; depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. A psychiatrist evaluates patients with mental illness and, in cases where medication is subscribed, often practices medication management.
