Cherry hospital is a 24 hour in-patient facility serving adolescent, adult and geriatric patients in eastern North Carolina. This position serves as a team leader for a multi-disciplinary team to ensure quality patient care and treatment. Responsibilities include the evaluation of patients upon admission and the development of a comprehensive treatment plan.

Candidates must possess the knowledge, skills and abilities in medicine and psychiatry required to meet the standards set by psychiatrist practicing in the community according to APA guidelines.
This position requires sound psychopharmacological knowledge and therapeutic skills as well as a thorough knowledge of diagnostic classification according to DMS-V and the ability to relate to clients with empathy and caring.

Candidates must have graduated from an accredited school of medicine and completion of residency. Candidate must have a full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in North Carolina with training sufficient for board certification in Psychiatry.
